Urban renewal in a physical sense cannot go without a social and cultural program. Rotterdam Vakmanstad (skill-city) is a vision that strives for an entrepeneurial craftmanship that is based on the stimulation of edication and social formation. It is about taking the creative potential of people serious and to develop this potential into creative skills. Rotterdam Vakmanstad is therefore a chance to close the gap that has been created through rapid developments and a limited global-economic perspective on the city.
